draft:
dear marina,
on behalf of the resist and flow class of 12/09, i would like to request the availability of the workshop as an expanded 10-week class. [everyone's names] have undergone a holistic rewiring compounded by rupturous illuminations that we look forward to reviving in spring 2010.

Sincerely,
[everyone's names] aka resist and flow class spring 2010

  1. Marina won't fall for this I suppose......
We need to feed Marina with " Bullet Proof " arguments why the education department should add an extra class aka spending more money. Right?
Let's come up with the why's.....
I need to go back to study in order to be prepared for my last class on Thursday! Therefore my WHYS will be up by next week.

  2. I agree with Suny.

Having gone through the required classes as a first year, I think the whys should be distinguishable and separate from the whys the other required classes are required.

    Here are my whys:

The way critiques are conducted. It taught us all to be more critical yet in a loving way, in a way that candor is exercised in an environment of trust, and together love is shared.

The grounding in what documentary means.

    What seeing means.

    What candor means.

    What love means.

Exercises to evaluate ones own work.

    Places to find inspiration.

    Learning to look inward.

    These things were not taught.

These things are, to me, combined, constitute the first building block.
